The program includes ascending two summits of Alam-Kuh (4848) and Damavand (5671) in the mentioned order. Damavand is the highest mountain in Iran with a cultural significance. It is mentioned in Iranian mythology that the border of Iran was determined by an arrow that was thrown from this mountain. There are 16 routes to summit Damavand that three of them are the most popular; among which the south face routes being the most famous and the easiest one. It is one of the most technical mountains of Iran with two usual passages. The route passing through Hesarchal is taken here. At the end of the program, to get a taste of Iran’s Culture as well, there is a one-day city tour of Tehran. The adventurer gets to experience summiting the two highest mountain of Iran and get a glimpse of its culture as well.

    Yes. This expedition is designed for experienced trekkers and climbers with good physical fitness, as it includes multiple high-altitude ascents above 4,000 m.

    Accommodation includes federation mountain lodges, tents in camps (Hesarchal & Bargah), and hotels in Tehran for the first and last nights.

Itinerary

Day 1, Arrival

Transfer from IKA airport to the hotel. This day in the program depends on your arrival time. Tehran is around 1189m above sea level and the capital of Iran.

Day 2, Vandarbon

Transfer from Tehran to Vandarbon (2250m) through Kelardasht (1107m), overnight in the federation mountain lodge. (Around 6-hour drive) (ascended altitude 1050m).

Day 3, Tange Galoo – Hesarchal

Transfer to Tange Galoo (3200m) with 4*4 and start trekking to Hesarchal (3750m). Overnight in Camp. (Around 1-hour drive) (Ascended altitude 1500m).

Day 4, Lashgarak – Hesarchal

Summit Lashgarak mountain (4256m) and descend to Hesarchal (3750m). Overnight in Camp. (Ascended altitude: 506m) (Descended Altitude: 506m)

Day 5, Alam-Kuh – Vandarbon

Summit Alam-Kuh (4848 m) and Descend to Vandarbon (2250m). Overnight in Vandarbon (2250m). Overnight in Vandarbon lodge. (Ascended Altitude: 1098m) (Descended Altitude: 2598m)

Day 6, Polour

Transfer to Polour. Overnight in federation mountain lodge (2200m) (Ascended Altitude: 100m) (Descended Altitude: 0) (Around 6-hour drive)

Day 7, Gosfandsara – Bargah-Sevom

Transfer to Gosfandsara (3000m) with 4*4 and start trekking to Bargah-Sevom (4200m). Overnight in Camp. (Ascended Altitude: 2000m)

Day 8, Damavand – Bargah Sevom

Summit Mt Damavand (5671m) and descend to Bargah Sevom (4200m) Overnight in camp. (Ascended altitude: 1471m) (Descended Altitude: 1471m)

Day 9, Polour – Tehran

Descend to Polour (2200m) and transfer to Tehran (1189m) Overnight in hotel. (Ascended altitude:0) (Descended altitude:3011m)

Day 10, Tehran
